It’s just about that time of year again–time to gather pens, pencils, and notebooks and prepare to go back to school! With so many stores currently having sales on supplies, it’s worth taking a bit of time to compare prices and shop around, especially if you’re looking at bigger ticket tech items like computers.
Also taking a few minutes to check if you have any supplies left over from the previous year may put a few dollars back in your pocket. While you may find supply lists for your school in-store, you might want to wait and see if your child’s teacher hands out their own list before purchasing everything on the generic school list.
Florida residents can once again take advantage of the Back to School Sales Tax Holiday, which this year runs from August 2 to August 6. During this period, certain school supplies and clothing will be tax exempt. For details on eligible items, check out the Florida Department of Revenue’s website.
Back to school sales aren’t just for students and teachers, either. These deals are also the perfect opportunity to stock up on supplies for your office or home office. By doing a little homework before heading out to the stores with your supply list, you’re sure to go straight to the top of the back to school shopping class!
